Step No. 1. Insert the handle into the recess of your sliding door
The most important thing to keep in mind here is that the pin for the lock must fit into the hole in the door . If the door does not have a hole, this is usually made 45mm from the edge of the door. In any case, first look at the specifications of the door handle you are going to buy.
Step #2. Screw the latch into the top and bottom of the edge
The door handle + nail kit comes with all the installation accessories included . Screw the nail into the top and bottom of the door edge.
Step No. 3. Insert the part of the lock with manual locking inside the door
On the inside of the sliding door , the centre of the latch axis should be visible so that the lock/bolt can be inserted. In this case it is round, but it could also be oval and the installation would be the same.
Install the latch on the inside of the door, ensuring that the tab is in a vertical position as shown in the photo.
Step No. 4. From the outside of the door, insert the part of the lock with safety release
Step No. 5. Place the strike plate on the frame
Finally, install the lock in the frame . Installing the lock is relatively simple, but be careful to ensure that the latch and the hole in the frame are at the same height and well centered . Otherwise, the beak of the latch would not fit into the door frame.
